2020 Reflections
To say 2020 was a tough year is an understatement, especially for those who have lost loved ones this year. In hindsight, 2020 was not only tough, but also humbling, as I saw weaknesses, fears and vulnerabilities in myself to depths I had not appreciated before. There were moments when I hid to let the tears quietly flow, and moments when I pounded my fists in anger and frustration. But through every darkness, comes light, courage and strength. And mother nature shows us that even in the pandemic darkness, there is beauty. As I look to the new year, I can’t help but feel blessed by the time we are given, by the people that surrounds us, by the humanity we bear witness to, and by the hope that still burns brightly within us all. Here’s to real hugs in the new year
