Frye Festival & Canadian Children Book Week
May 1-7, 2022 So amazing to be a part of the Canadian Children’s Book Week. I loved meeting/chatting with and reading to students across Canada re the Journey of Refugees & Immigrants and the Power of Kindness. My heart melted when Gr1-3 students at Sir Alexander MacKenzie school lined up for Q&A and gave compliments instead: “I like your story” “I like your long black hair” “You are so beautiful”…so absolutely sweet and adorable!
April 27 -30, 2022 – Feeling grateful for the honour and privilege to be at the Frye Festival in Moncton, NB and that people appreciated my little story. I so loved how the students love, love the story of The Doll. I so enjoyed the thoughtful conversations. A grade 5 student warmed my heart when he exclaimed he is now inspired to sponsor refugees too!
