A Grain of Rice: Edmonton and Calmar Launches
Nov 11/18 – A Grain of Rice is now officially launched! It was another packed house at Audreys Books Ltd, and I am so grateful. I so appreciate all your love and support, and most of all I appreciate Mr. Tololwa M Mollel for all the time and attention he had put into helping make the afternoon a great success, as we had a thoughtful discussion about the story and the scars of war, most pertinent on this day. The store has a few signed copies for those who couldn’t grab a copy today. Proceeds go to the United Nations’ International Organization for Migration.
Nov 25/18 – It’s so much easier being a doctor as you always know you’ll have patients whereas with these art events, you never know if anyone would show. I can’t believe some of you did show up at Block 39 (Calmar Medical building) on Grey Cup Sunday. Thank you so much again, as it meant so much to me! Also so grateful for the wonderful author Peter Midgley for helping moderate another thoughtful discussion regarding life in general. And so honoured that our MLA Mark Smith and NDP Candidate Kieran Quirke were there.
